Redness/Rosacea

Rosacea is a common skin disease that most commonly affects middle-aged women with fair skin. It often begins with a tendency to blush or flush more easily than other people. With time, people who have rosacea often see permanent redness in the center of their face, visible small blood vessels, and occasionally acne-like breakouts. Left untreated, it tends to worsen over time.

There is no cure for this condition. Treatments such as antibiotics or anti-acne medications can control and reduce symptoms. Laser and light treatments can help when other treatments have failed.

At Millennium Med we use Cutera’s 1064 Yag laser and IPL (intense pulse light) to get rid of the blood vessels and improve the flushed, red appearance of the skin. The treatments are quick, very efficient and minimally discomforting for most patients.
